Designer – EDC Development Transport or CommercialThe Designer is involved in the development of transport or commercial refrigeration units, taking account of the product specification and stakeholders' requests. The resource formally reports to the Section Manager or Supervisor and works closely with the Refrigeration team members within Zanotti Group.
Main Activities: Developing the mechanical design of units for transport or commercial refrigeration.Creating 2D and 3D drawings of components and assemblies.Creating coding and BOMs.Preparing technical and purchase specifications.Education: High school technical degree.Bachelor's or Master's degree will be considered a plus.A good knowledge of both spoken and written English.Key Selection Criteria: Technical Skills: Knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks and/or Solidedge are preferred).Experience within the same role in mechanical design and 2D and 3D technical design in manufacturing companies, preferably in the refrigeration or HVAC sectors – 5 or more years of experience for Senior candidates | 0-5 years of experience for Junior candidates.Soft Skills: Hands-on mentality and analytical mindset both on tools and methods.Willingness to achieve the objectives successfully together with the team.Capability to communicate with different departments throughout the entire organization.Capability to play an active role in projects, with the self-discipline to draw up timetables, make priorities, and meet deadlines.Capability to react efficiently to occurring changes and problems.
