Role & responsibilities Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans to enhance the strength of our brand and achieve our growth targets.Reposition the marketing and sales department based on current needs and future demand.Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities.Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, pricing, and channel strategy.Direct sales forecasting activities. Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.Introduce effective monitoring tools for the sales force to achieve sales targets with proper incentive schemes in place.Work with channel partners to support their efforts.Oversee monitoring of competitor products, sales, and marketing activities. Adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.Develop and oversee appropriate sales and marketing organizations.Develop and manage sales and marketing operating budgets. Monitor the return on marketing program investments.Drive the product development team with cross-functional members in conceptualizing, designing, and introducing new products in the market backed by full promotional campaigns to ensure successful product launches.Introduce the brand profitability concept with the assistance of the Finance department in assessing the health of individual brands and taking corrective actions to improve the situation.Update Management on a monthly basis about the company's brand positioning, market share, market reach, competition, future marketing plans, etc.Budgeting, cost control, and P&L management. Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of relevant experience in the design and execution of marketing and sales strategies in developing markets, preferably in the automotive retailing sector (CNG and Cargo Tricycle or Small Cargo vehicles). Young - ideally in the 35-42 age range.Confident - articulate, positive, determined, clear communication, decisive.Proactive approach - adds value, continually looking to improve, uses initiative.Energetic - leads by example, willing to be hands-on, tireless work ethic.Dynamic personality - generates ideas.Leadership skills - coaching & mentoring, strong direction, tough approach to discipline, developing skills through training and empowerment, inspiring and motivating the team.Results-oriented - committed to achieving and evaluating targets – sales, profit.Willing to learn and absorb new culture and language.Patient - willingness to understand new market, new methods, new approaches.Realistic - approaches work carefully and thoughtfully.Organized with strong analytical skills - has a structured approach to business, not just verbal and informal.Strong communication skills – good at briefing, reporting, liaison with manufacturers, principals, management, and other departments.Fluent in English – spoken and reading.
