We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Industry Delivery Lead to oversee projects within the Consumer Goods and Services and/or Retail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget and aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization. This role requires proven experience in leading projects in the Consumer Goods and Service and/or Retail industries and a deep understanding of industries, processes and methodologies, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.
Skills and experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or a related role, within the Consumer Goods and Services / Retail industry.
• Proven experience managing large-scale system integration projects.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
What you will do Portfolio Management:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects within the industry identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with the Sales Accounts to develop the business on the Industry Clients.
Project Leadership:
• Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication of project goals and objectives.
• Ensure projects adhere to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Facilitate project planning sessions, including defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders (internal and external), including senior management, clients, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Team Leadership:
• Oversee a team of project managers, coordinators, and other delivery staff.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Coordinate with other departments to secure necessary resources for project execution.
Risk and Issue Management:
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management as appropriate.
• Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
• Promote and implement best practices and Avanade methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
