Who we are looking for Purpose The Data Scientist will support the development and implementation of digital and technological solutions for SKAI, focusing on data analytics, predictive modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
She/He will collaborate with the SKAI - Scientific Knowledge unit to analyze and interpret complex data, generating actionable insights that guide business strategy.
Additionally, the role involves supporting the operational implementation of digital solutions, facilitating access to external data, and staying current with emerging digital trends to share knowledge across the Company.
Main Responsibilities In coordination with the Head of Scenario Planning and insight Digital solutions unit ensures the effective development and management of digital solutions to sustain the research and analysis of data with the application of advanced Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.
She/he is responsible for: To translate data into knowledge and generate insights through: Development of Natural Language Processing workflows for data analysis and visualization; Using API and internal Data Integration to support the generation and application of scientific Data Models; Scouting and implementing new digital technology solutions for information management; Generation of predictive Machine Learning models; Contribute to develop artifacts such as data domains and conceptual data models (e.g.
ontologies) together with various stakeholders to ensure quality, interoperability, and consistency of data.
To collaborate with Scientific Knowledge or subject matter experts from other functions to understand need identification, mapping of possible solutions and implementation for value generation.
Staying up-to-date and contributing, with technical experts, to evaluate, when and where required, the best-in-class AI/ML and data analysis environments to accelerate the development and implementation of effective analytics and predictive capabilities in relation to SKAI activities.
By working closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders, the data scientist can ensure that data insights are effectively translated into actionable strategies.
This collaboration fosters a data-driven culture within the organization and promotes continuous learning and improvement.
To connect closely with business and GICT stakeholders to proactively identify and address requirements, risks, dependencies and potential issues.
In collaboration with Global Outsourcing Management and Global Procurement, contributing to the selection and management of the relevant vendors providing digital and technological services/tools.
To collaborate and share best practices and ways to improve knowledge and processes with SKAI and SSG unit Experience Required Preferably 1 year of experience in a pharma company, particularly in Scientific/External data and information management and analysis.
Education Master's degree in a Scientific discipline such as Data Science, Business Informatics, Informatics, Informatics Engineering or equivalent.
Languages Fluent English.
Technical Skills Excellent knowledge of Data Science with particular focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence systems, data mining text mining, business process modelling and visual analytics.
Excellent knowledge of Data Science tools, coding, script language and high-level programming language (e.g.
Python).
Good knowledge of sources, tools, and databases for the retrieval of Scientific and Competitive intelligence information.
Good knowledge of statistics.
