Job DescriptionActivities and tasks: Define Calibration and Validation tasks, algorithms, and plans.Support quality assurance processes for all data products, ensuring compliance with industry standards.Execute calibration and validation processes, supporting instrument performance management.Review industry documentation during the various project phases.Continuously assess evolving user requirements regarding data quality, calibration, and validation.Support testing, integration, and validation activities.Documentation and software deliverables review and configuration control.Contribute to coordination meetings and reviews, both internal and with external participation.Generate technical notes to support the project as needed.Job requirements: University PhD or master's degree in physics, engineering, or Earth sciences with particular emphasis on EO optical instruments, data processing algorithms, calibration, and validation.Good knowledge of SAR and optical satellite remote sensing data.Demonstrated capabilities in EO data processing and applications.Experience in the development and maintenance of ground infrastructure and/or software systems.Experience in space missions, spacecraft, and/or payload operations.Scientific programming (e.g., Python, IDL).Autonomy in writing technical notes, specifications, and reports in English.Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.Work Location:We follow a hybrid scheme with 2 days (or more if you wish) in the office and the remaining days from home. Applicants must be EU citizens or have a valid work and residence permit for the above-mentioned work location.
