The Mission As a Data Entry Specialist at Scalapay's Milan office, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of Scalapay data, supporting our commitment to high standards as a regulated payment institution. Reporting directly to our Data Controller, your focus will be on data entry, validation, and maintenance to uphold seamless data flows critical to our operations. We seek someone immediately available on a fixed-term contract (initially 6 months, with the possibility of renewal), ready to make a meaningful impact on data integrity and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
Data entry to maintain high accuracy in our records. Researching, analyzing, sorting, and extracting data based on specific business needs. Reviewing data entered from source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identifying patterns, spotting bugs, and suggesting solutions to improve or automate processes. Investigating discrepancies, filling gaps in incomplete records, and resolving other data-related issues. You'll be Great for this Role if You: Are fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written). Are tech-savvy with experience using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and PowerPoint. Hold a high school diploma or bachelor's degree. Have little to no prior working experience but are curious and eager to learn. Nice to Have Experience in a tech startup or scale-up environment. Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and a readiness to quickly learn other software applications. Have studied programming, with particular emphasis on the ability to create SQL queries for databases. Soft Skills A proactive approach to accomplishing daily tasks and a drive to find solutions that improve current processes. A self-starter mindset, with a planning-oriented approach to tackling tasks and challenges. Strong organizational and time management skills, along with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively to resolve issues and provide feedback.
