What you will do: You will become the owner of full data transformation and reporting pipelines: Interact with business process owners/players to understand how data are generated to reconstruct their semantics and assess their value.
Perform exploratory data analysis and reverse engineering.
Automatize extraction of the raw data from the native business systems.
Automatize the process of data cleaning, transformation, enrichment, and standardization to feed central Data Hubs.
Build multi-dimensional business intelligence model to be leveraged as sole source of truth.
Interact with process owners and top management to gather and formalize reporting needs.
Implement automated reporting leveraging multiple channels: Power BI dashboards, programmatic generation of PowerPoint decks, implementation of ad-hoc web UI.
Operational management of automated pipelines.
What are we trying to do?
We see an increased need for the wide business to explore and unveil the value hidden in the wide variety of data assets available in the ION group.
We want to standardize and automate data harvesting, cleaning, enrichment, and reports to provide data driven insights for quantitative decision making, both at the operational and top management level.
What you will need to know: You need to have a scientific mindset to build conceptual models, hypothesis, and assumptions; formalize them, and challenge them against real facts.
Mastering Python and SQL for data analysis is required.
Statistical concepts for data and time series analysis are highly preferred.
Experience with at least one of the employed technologies is a plus: Business Intelligence Tools, preferably Power BI.
Databricks or more generally Apache Spark.
MS-SQL Server, Oracle DBMS.
Functional programming with Scala language.
Angular/Typescript.
Minimum qualifications: A master's degree in a STEM discipline.
You must have obtained your degree in the past 1 year, or be studying for it now.
Firm mastering of Python and SQL for data analysis.
A good level of written and spoken English and Italian (B1 minimum).
Good team working and collaboration attitude.
You are an Italian resident or planning to relocate to Italy.
If you're from a non-EU country, you must have a valid EU visa or work permit.
Contract Type: Full-time, permanent contract.
