Who You Are: As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and developing the enterprise data Lakehouse of Eutelsat Group. Cooperate with international staff to collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information to help the business functions in decision-making, while ensuring compliance with data protection and best practices.
What You'll Do: Build and maintain data pipelinesAnalyse requirements and understand business needs related to dataWork with data scientists, data analysts, and business users to support data governance and data initiativesOptimize storage and computing cost to match budget guidelinesWhat it Takes: MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related fieldsGood knowledge of data-oriented Apache services in Cloudera (NiFi, Kafka, Hive, Spark)Good foundations of main AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda)Good knowledge of SQL, PySpark, and PythonProficiency using UNIX based operating systemsFluency in EnglishNice to Have: Basic understanding of Snowflake Data CloudPrevious experience with Apache IcebergWhere you'll be: Turin, Italy.
