Job Description

As a data engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable and reliable data solutions that support our business needs and goals. You will also collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and availability. A hands-on approach and passion for software and data design and development are what we are searching for. Your Responsibilities
Deliver scalable ingestion solutions to capture data from many different data sources, and script data transformations and orchestrate data processing pipelines. Identify, resolve, and prevent data quality and consistency issues in collaboration with business stakeholders, and identify optimization potentials and implement them. Establish means/tools for monitoring to ensure high performance and stability. Maintain and optimize ingestions, transformations, and pipelines. Test data flow implementation and optimization. Maintain existing processes for test data flow and the related databases, developing extensions/enhancements to the current data flow (designing, implementing, testing, and documenting new solutions). Grant fast and stable access to test data to the production engineering team. Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in Data and Analytics and related domains, and proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements. Creation and maintenance of technical documentation. Your Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering (applied science or similar) or proven experience in a similar position. Experience in relational database design, implementation, and tuning (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle SQL, PL/SQL). Knowledge of Functional Programming (Python is required, Java, XML, JSON are appreciated) and familiarity with code versioning tools (GitHub). Knowledge of Data modeling, Data Warehousing, and ETL (PySpark, Scala, or Pandas) concepts. Self-driven and proactive mindset, with good communication skills (fluent English) and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and propose innovative solutions. Friendly and customer-oriented personality. Bonus Points
Proven experience delivering solutions on AWS and working with different AWS/cloud-native technologies like S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, Athena, EMR, RDS, EC2, Lambda, Step function, and cloud formation templates. Knowledge of advanced database storage concepts (NoSQL database and big data technologies). Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps in a software engineering team. Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau. Work experience in a global environment and previous experience in the IoT/semiconductor manufacturing world is a plus. Certifications in AWS Data (AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Big Data Specialty, AWS AI/ML Specialty). What are your perks?
