Job Description
The Group Data Analytics & AI Strategy, Governance and Methods function's role is to set the Group-wide Data, Analytics & AI vision and plan, establish common frameworks and standards, increase awareness, support capability building, and stimulate value creation and alignment with Generali Group business strategy.
The Data & AI Business Adoption Lead is the interface between Generali Business Units and the Group Data, Analytics & AI Strategy team and is responsible for identifying new opportunities for Data & AI solutions applications, stimulating demand, and constantly monitoring the implementation of the Data, Analytics & AI strategy including the tracking of economic benefits generated.
Main tasks: Support benchmarking and outside-in analysis to fully understand industry and technology trends as well as market dynamics, driving conversations with Business Units aimed at promoting Data & AI adoption at local level.Collaborate with all Business Units (Europe, Asia, Latin America) to generate demand for Data & AI global products and services (custom analytics, reporting/ BI/ dashboarding, image analytics, generative AI, ...).Use domain-specific understanding, translate unstructured, complex business problems into the appropriate data/ AI use cases and analytical solutions across multiple business areas (pricing, claims, operations, marketing, retail/ SME, ...).Partner with business departmental teams to define and document business requirements for new systems and processes leveraging AI.Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.Define in agreement with Group and/or local stakeholders the overall project plan, including scoping documents, business case setup, kick-off meetings, and periodic governance (sprint reviews, steerco, ...).Monitor Group Data, Analytics & AI strategy implementation across Business Units - including value capturing progress, and identify corrective actions when needed.Provide regular reports and updates to management, communicating effectively in a structured and concise manner. Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Master's degree in scientific disciplines and/or economics (Business, Finance, Operations Research, Management Engineering or related area).At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.Advanced knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, ...).Fluent in English.Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and resources. Nice to have: Understanding of the insurance industry (property & casualty, life, and accident & health) with a focus on key financial metrics like loss ratios, combined ratios, retention rates, and technical margins, etc.Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field within the insurance or financial services industry, to ensure a deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities for business.Knowledge of business process design/improvement methodologies and how these can be supported by using data and analytics to drive business performances.
