We are currently seeking a Customer Engineer AC Power to join our dynamic team in Rome, Italy! What will be your role in your team? As a Customer Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for Vertiv UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. You are required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area. Maintain continuous communications with Call Control and the department Manager/Supervisor.
What specific responsibilities will you have within your team? Respond, in a professional manner, to all assigned service calls while on duty. Perform all work using good working practice and current codes of practice/legislation relevant to assigned task. Ensure spare parts are properly accounted for using established parts procedures. Assist in ensuring that the planned maintenance completion rate is maintained at a minimum of 90%. Assist call control to schedule, plan, and complete any works as required, using established work flow procedures. Keep call control informed of your schedule and the status of all open jobs. Maintain the accuracy of the customer listing by reporting errors with the site change form. Work collaboratively within the service team. Follow up and follow through on all assigned tasks. Submit daily paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring thorough debriefing in Wireless Field Service. Ensure availability to work during weekends and nights. What are the keys to your success? To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent; Experience of working in a technical service or test environment of AC Power equipment - essential; Proficient in computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook); Previous field service experience essential; Excellent customer service and communication skills; Self-starter with the ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively with an ability to work under pressure; Clean valid driving license.
