Job Overview: We're currently looking for a Custom Supervisor for our branch in Milan, Italy. Your main responsibility would be to assist in applying for a customs clearance license from 0 to 1 and establish the local customs team. You'll be assisting us to find and cooperate with the best customs declaration software in the local market.
Responsibilities: Applying for the customs license for the company and checking the process.Building up the customs team and providing operational guidance and coaching to employees.Helping the company deal with customs compliance issues and regulations.Creating import customs clearance instructions, identifying potential areas of improvement, and developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with cross-border trade.Collaborating with relevant stakeholders including customs officers, trade partners, and other government agencies to gather insights and data for risk analysis.Developing risk assessment models and tools to evaluate the likelihood and impact of various risk factors on customs operations.Implementing risk management protocols and procedures to streamline customs processes and enhance compliance with regulatory requirements.Developing a customs risk management guidebook and/or manual.Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of risk management initiatives and making recommendations for continuous improvement.Staying abreast of developments in customs regulations, international trade practices, and emerging risks to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of risk management strategies.Qualifications: Rich customs experience and resources in the local market.Familiarity with local customs policies, regulations, compliance, customs clearance processes, and risk points of different business types.Excellent managerial skills, in-depth knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance standards, and risk assessment methodologies in the local country.Relevant certifications or qualifications in customs administration, risk management, or experience in ICS2 management or related fields would be an advantage.Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies in a customs or trade environment.Working location: Milan, Italy
