Credit Risk Analyst Intern Location: Rome

The Opportunity The Risk Onboarding Team is a part of Worldline's First Line of Defence (1LoD) and we perform the analysis of new customers that wish to receive our services.
What the Risk Onboarding structure does: Ensure that the level of counterparty risks that the Company is going to take is aligned with the Company's policy and is compatible with the Company's economic and capital structure. Define and improve relevant procedures and processes in collaboration with business structures, ensuring their implementation, overseeing their efficiency and effectiveness in containing risks and related management costs, ensuring consistency with the guiding principles adopted by the Company. Ensure compliance with Scheme's regulations during the customer evaluation process. Define, develop, and implement models and methodologies for risk assessment. Inform the Company's Governing and Senior Managers about evaluation numbers. Classify the risk positions of the managed portfolio in compliance with the internal regulations in force. Develop, maintain, and evolve tools and methods aimed at onboarding and evaluating clients, ensuring the implementation of the guidelines adopted by the Company. Execute operational controls defined in the relevant regulations. Maintain a strong relationship with third parties (e.g., Sales, banks) to obtain accurate information regarding items to be evaluated. Maintain systems when needed and provide input regarding process efficiencies. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Evaluate new customers, reaching additional information and documentation. Evaluate customer financials based on pre-defined criteria. Evaluate additional services required by the customer. Engage in reporting activities. Perform back-office activities. In practice, this means: Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interest in financial analysis, reclassification, and explanatory notes analysis. Analytical skills, accuracy, teamwork, adaptability, proactivity, and active listening. Synthesis/simplification skills and flexibility. Good English proficiency.
