Country Financial Controller Italy - Hotellerie SectorWe are looking for a Country Financial Controller in Rome. Our client is a player in the European hospitality sector based in Paris, managing a wide portfolio of over 80 hotels and 60 restaurants across eight European countries. In Italy, the company owns and operates 5 hotels, totaling more than 800 rooms.
Main Responsibilities: As Country Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing the financial and operational performance.
Financial Management and Operational Control: Oversee the financial and operational control of the hotels by providing detailed and relevant analyses for the operational teams and the finance department.Analyze financial results, identify discrepancies, propose solutions, and support hotel managers in improving their performance.Prepare, monitor, and validate financial forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with the group's strategic objectives.Support for Hotel Operations: Organize and lead regular performance reviews with hotel managers and local teams to help them optimize financial results.Deliver clear, structured, and tailored reporting to ensure information is relevant for various stakeholders (hotel managers, operational teams, finance management).Collaboration with the Group Finance Department: Oversight of external accounting firm: Manage the activities of the external accounting firm based in Milan, ensuring the reliability and compliance of financial data and strict adherence to Group deadlines.Process Improvement: Actively contribute to optimizing and securing the exchange of information between the accounting firm and hotels, identifying and implementing solutions to streamline processes and ensure efficient data transmission.Personal Attributes: You are rigorous, organized, and demonstrate an excellent sense of initiative and autonomy.Known for your analytical and synthesizing skills, you also excel in building trust-based relationships thanks to your strong interpersonal skills.Your proactivity and ability to anticipate needs are essential assets for this role.Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of financial control and accounting, combined with a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its specificities (KPIs, cost management, revenue optimization, hospitality software tools, etc.).Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, enabling you to deliver detailed analyses and impactful presentations.Language Skills: Fluent in Italian and English. Proficiency in French is highly desirable to facilitate effective collaboration with the Group's headquarters in Paris.Additional Information: Travel: Regular travel required (Bologna - Florence - Milan - Paris).Reporting line: Reports to the Group Finance team in Paris.Home office allowed.Middle Management
