Netflix is seeking a Public Policy Coordinator for Italy. This is a full-time position located at our Rome Office. This position will report to the Head of Public Policy Italy and work to ensure that the policy and regulatory environment remains conducive to the growth of our business. This will include educating and raising the awareness of stakeholders, providing thought information on policy issues of concern to us, advocating for our position with policy and industry stakeholders collaborating with other local partners.
**In this role, you will**:
- Identify, monitor and analyze relevant policy trends, legislative proposals, relevant news, and policy developments which may have an impact on Netflix. Gather and analyze intelligence on policy and regulatory developments in Italy.
- Support in developing and deepening the Public Policy presence in the region.
- Work cross-functionally with other internal teams on the various policy objectives and initiatives.
- Help develop and execute initiatives to support the development of the local creative community, in partnership with other teams of Netflix.
- Support in the development and maintenance of relationships with a diverse set of public and private sector stakeholders to introduce Netflix and its business model.
- Prepare briefings, status reports, speech preparation and positioning documents
- Event strategy, organization and execution to facilitate meaningful engagement and networking opportunities among stakeholders.
- Support in the development and maintenance of relationships with public policy representatives across the technology, entertainment and media community, and serve as a representative of Netflix in relevant trade groups or other industry bodies.
**To be considered for this Role, you must have**:
- Proven experience in a policy-related role in either a government organization, legislative body, policy consulting firm, prominent local industry stakeholder (i.e. industry associations), policy research institute or in-house government relations department,
- Good understanding of the audiovisual industry, and keen curiosity of the internet, media and entertainment industries,
- Demonstrated good judgment, strong research and analytical skills, ability to work well under pressure, manage time and (re)prioritize tasks, and ability to collaborate with multiple teams simultaneously,
- An ability to cover a broad range of issues and work with a network of consultants, lawyers, and other partners,
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills in English is essential
- Knowledge on Media and Copyright legislation is a plus.
