Controls Engineer Position The Controls Engineer to join our R&D Control Engineering group plays a leading role in the deployment of control systems. This includes design, development, documentation, testing and commissioning of materials handling automation hardware and PLC software.

Tasks and Qualifications Tasks: Design and develop control products including special focus to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. Support the sustainment and upgrade of existing controls products. Develop and maintain records of all inventive ideas, designs, and basic improvements. Perform testing of prototypes and provide technical assistance on design feasibility. Document product issues and testing results for future reference. Collaborate with other divisions within Dematic and external third-party vendors to plan and execute projects. Capable of solving complex or unusual problems related to Hardware and/or Software. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Automation engineering or equivalent. Working Knowledge of ACAD or ACADE is a plus. Proficient in Allen Bradley, Rockwell, or Siemens PLCs. Experience in Profinet, Ethernet IP, Profibus and other fieldbus network design and machine safety. Knowledgeable on AC drives is a plus. Working knowledge of high-level programming languages C, C#, Python, Visual Basic, LabView will be evaluated as a plus. Good level in English language is mandatory, (spoken and written).
