The Controls Engineer position will be based out of Zeeco's Lissone office.
The position will require knowledge of all Zeeco products, with a focus on Flares division products and technical requirements.
The position will be responsible for all aspects of assigned jobs to assure quality products are delivered on time and ensuring cost budget controls are followed.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Review of project engineering and sales packages to determine Zeeco's scope of supply.• Reading the customer specifications and implementing those specifications as they apply tothe "AS SOLD" equipment, highlighting any incongruence or scope creep.• Development of P&ID drawings in coordination with the project, sales and process engineersto meet the Zeeco "AS SOLD" package and contractual requirements.• Development of the Control Narrative and Cause & Effect diagram in coordination with theprocess engineers.• Develop logic diagrams in ISA format for complex logic devices such as PLC's and DCSsystems.• Develop data sheets and hook-ups drawings for all the instruments and valves in Zeecoscope: temperature, level, flow, and pressure transmitters along with control valves, positioners, analytical, and various other types of instrumentation.• Develop drawings for control panels, power distribution, junction boxes, and aviation warning light systems.
Included drawings are general arrangement, internal layout, schematics and interconnection and wire diagrams.• Prepare cable BOM's, routing plans and schedules.• Prepare RFQ or Materials Requisition for vendors and perform the technical and commercialalignment of the offers received.
Coordinate with the Procurement Dept for the POplacement.• Review the budget assigned by the PE/PM to the control portion, remain within the budget and make every effort to improve it.• Prepare bid tab for the control items for PE/PM review and discussion.• Perform inspection and test of equipment prior to shipment from Zeeco's fabricationfacility.
Inspections and test may be performed with the customer and Project Engineerpresent.• Occasional travel to assist the Zeeco sales group, to assist the customer with commissioningof the Zeeco supplied control system, for FAT , HAZOP and SIL meeting or technical meetingwith the customer.
Travel includes domestic as well as overseas destinations.Job type: Full Time
