Position: Quality Control Inspector (Incoming e produzione)Main Activities:
Quality Control in Incoming: Inspection activities during receipt to ensure supplies meet requirements, technical specifications, and drawings specified in the purchase order or supply contract.Acceptance of raw and semi-finished metallic materials.Acceptance of perishable and non-perishable non-metallic materials, including recertification of limited-life materials.Acceptance of auxiliary materials.Acceptance of items purchased to TASI specifications or supplier catalog.Verification of conformity of materials sent for external processing.Verification of qualitative conformity of shipments.Acceptance of electrical/electronic materials (checking documentation, quality of finishes, compliance with packaging requirements, etc.).Quality Control in Production:
Inspect HW during production phases to certify compliance with design requirements and processes.This applies to:Mechanical assemblies (checking dimensions, geometries, completeness, marking, documentation, etc.).MLI (verifying completeness of documentation, dimensions, correct geometries in terms of positioning of Velcro and other specific components, good condition of finish).Acceptance of wiring (checking documentation, quality of finishes, compliance with packaging requirements, etc.).Composite CFRP and Metal Structures (verifying HW and process documentation, checking and measuring geometries with various tools, verifying bonding, OSR conductivity, positioning of heat pipes, geometries post-bonding inserts, etc.).Documentation Management:
Prepare and manage quality control documentation associated with inspected HW, including opening NCRs when necessary.Minimum Requirements: Education: Technical degree, preferably in mechanical, aerospace engineering, materials or equivalent, or technician in mechanics, mechatronics, chemistry or equivalent with appreciable work experience supporting the equivalence between the two skills.Good understanding of drawings and knowledge of common mechanical tools and machines.Work Experience: Knowledge of the functioning principles of production machines and diagnostic capabilities.Minimum 4 years of experience as quality inspectors for various technologies previously identified in the description.Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for metal parts (machining, sheet metal forming, and possibly welding production) including control techniques and surface treatments.Knowledge of classic mechanical joining techniques for metal parts.Knowledge of manual adjustment methods.Knowledge and use of manual pneumatic equipment such as drills, screwdrivers, taps, grinders, riveters, etc.Knowledge and use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, multimeters, torque wrenches, etc.Knowledge and use of personal and collective protective devices.Ability to visualize and manipulate 3D models to follow instructions during production and assembly phases.Knowledge of testing and verification criteria during acceptance, process control, and prevention of FOD, particularly for the Space Station and other crewed module types.Knowledge of all aspects of technologies and products that must be inspected to certify compliance with design and process requirements.Preferred but not essential: competence in 3D measurements using laser trackers and/or articulated arms, with the aid of measurement software Spatial Analyzer and/or PCDMIS.Languages: Excellent knowledge of Italian, including technical terminology, both written and spoken.Basic knowledge of English in conversation and writing/reading is required.Location: Torino. Short trips (up to several weeks) in Italy, Europe, and the United States may be required. Activities may require shift work, including the 3rd night shift when necessary.
