Controller

Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
Within the CFO area we are looking for a Controller.
The position is focused on supporting different activities in the area of reporting, planning and controlling at the Generali Group level, with particular regard to performance monitoring on main financial and business indicators.
A frequent interaction with the Group Planning and Control teams focused on controlling Business Units is expected.
Involvement in the implementation of the new accounting principles IFRS 17/9 to Planning & Control processes and systems is expected.
Main deliverables of the department are produced for the Group CFO, GMC and Board of Directors.
Key responsabilities of the role will include:
- monitoring of key performance indicators, at Group level, focusing on financials both for actual, budget, forecast and plan figures
- reporting and analysis on Group expenses / costs controlling activities
Must have:
- Preferably with some experience in planning & control or in other financial sector activities
- Strong analytical skills and passion for quantitative activities
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Fluent in English and Italian, other languages will be a plus
- Ability to work on own initiative and as a team, with tight deadlines
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Mindful of cultural differences and ability to collaborate in extended teams in remote working
- Strong organization skills, curiosity, desire to learn and gain practical work experience
