JOB OVERVIEW:The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including direct and indirect tax and transfer price reporting as well as general ledger accounting and statutory reporting. Collaborate with team members to provide necessary financial reports, support the Finance manager in ensuring reliability and accuracy of financial data and any other business according to the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Month-End Closing Process:Analyze P&L and B/S by natural/line of statement.Review general expenses accruals and prepaid.Prepare intercompany recharge costs and the relevant invoices.Analyze and prepare accruals for trade customers' bonuses and penalties.Calculate and update income and deferred taxes in the One Source system.Control plan oversight on Financial Solution Center tasks.Review regular reports and B/S account reconciliations via the accounting system.Direct and Indirect Tax:Prepare P&L by source, calculate transfer price adjustments, and monitor profitability.Prepare the annual Transfer Price book report, conduct FAS 109 studies and RTP calculations.Prepare income and deferred taxes for Statutory and Tax Return.Provide support during tax audits.Statutory Reporting:Support in Statutory package preparation (P&L, B/S, Note).Other Activities:Prepare presentations for Statutory auditors' meetings.Prepare and collect SOX requirements.Support in balance sheet reviews and self-assessment preparation.Support TE internal audits.Manage non-SAP re-approval access.Manage SAP SOD conflict access.Support VAT and Intrastat controls and check the SDI platform.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceFluent English and Italian5-7 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles, in multinational/industrial companies or consultancy firms.Solid knowledge of accounting and direct and indirect tax rules and regulations. Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.Excellent SAP knowledge (FI and CO modules)Proven, solid Office (in particular Excel) skills and exposure to automated accounting systemsADDITIONAL INFORMATION:The application of individuals with disabilities, as defined by Italian Law 68/99, is encouraged; supports will be provided as needed.
