LyondellBasellBasic FunctionHis/her goal will be to work within the R&D Technical Development & Maintenance team to ensure reliability, availability and to design and implement changes on pilot plants and laboratory control and data management systems.
He/she will analyze requirements to draft and develop SW implementations and HW enhancements.
He/she will maintain systems with scheduled updates and upgrades, troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to both users and consultants.
He/she should be a team player with a propensity to work with several departments in his/her daily routine.
R&D applications and control systems management: Develop and lifecycle process and data control implementations (ex.
DCS or PLC) for both plants and laboratory fields.
Collaborate with stakeholders and providers in new SW and HW implementations.
Test and verify functionality, performance and safety.
Maintain control and applications infrastructure in respect of Company guidelines and cybersecurity Procedures.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesServe as an expert on distributed control systems and Programmable Logic Controllers and provide technical support.
Configure, customize and maintain process control solutions (ex.
Honeywell Experion C300) and software implementations.
Setup the security of R&D controls and applications as per Business Security guidelines and cybersecurity procedures.
Focus on reliability and availability of R&D control systems and applications.
Work in strict collaboration with other departments' staff both for requirement collection and support.
Participate in requirements analysis.
Test and verify new implementations.
Adopt security by design methodology.
Improve existing solutions.
Develop, maintain and update department documentation.

QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree in Information & Communication Technology field or High School technical degrees with at least five (5) plus years relevant experience in control systems and/or software applications.
Good English knowledge both written and spoken.
Be available for full 8 hour days, in presence.
Possibility for Smart Working can be considered.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of computer programming paradigms with a focus on object oriented programming.
Knowledge of DCS architecture is a plus, knowledge of Honeywell Experion technology is desirable.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and networking fundamentals.
Above average communication and user support skills.
Analytical thinker able to resolve complex problems in a high impact environment.
Proven problem solver supporting basic IT infrastructure, including virtual environment management.
