This role along with Assist.
Director oversees the daily operations, which tracks contribution and donor and prospect information.
The Contribution Manager will assist with training staff on proper procedures and ensure consistency and accuracy of data.
Cross training is provided in other functions to provide backup in the department sub-group.ESSENTIAL TASKSCore operations include: administering, maintaining, and enriching our Raiser's Edge/RENXT database and other Blackbaud products; donation processing and receipting; assisting with data analysis, vendor relationship management, cross-departmental communications, and the direct mail marketing program.
Oversee a small team of Data Entry specialists.Operations-- 70%Administer gift processing, the oversight of acknowledgement letters and donor stewardship within the fundraising database and/or CRM platform, including donations received via cash, pledge, recurring, and other gift types.Under the direction of the Assist.
Director of Development, administer team needs in relation to fundraising database and/or CRM platform and other vendor products by offering trainings and other types of support.Assist in the ongoing assurance of our database's security, integrity and maintenance.
Assist in performing regular data integrity checks via querying and system review including but not limited to de-duplication and data continuity.Support relationships with fundraising software vendors for all system's needs including fundraising database and/or CRM, event platform, prospect research platform, merchant account and other platforms.Work closely with the Assist.
Director of Development to support the department in ensuring appropriate tracking of fundraising activities including appeals, special events, and donor/prospect portfolio management.Support in the analysis of our data for the purpose of prospect cultivation and enriching current donor-fundraiser relationships via querying, dashboard creation, and other tools.Assist the Assist.
Director of Development with teaching and assisting department to maximize their effectiveness and accomplish their mission using fundraising database and/or CRM platform.Help cross-training and discuss position duties with Asst.
Director of Development so that all within the Contribution team are familiar with the roles.Assist the Assist.
Director of Development with coordinating volunteers in areas for the contribution team and department.Participate in Development events, meetings, and training.
It is necessary to travel to and from St. Matthew's House, vendor events, job sites, and other locations, including evenings and weekends as necessary for events.Download Corporate Match Gift (CMG) donor information from third party aggregators including Truist, Benevity, and YourCause, and upload donor information into fundraising database.
Ensure all donors are entered into fundraising database, tracked, acknowledged and reported accurately.
Work with Asst.
Director of Development to identify donors that fit into other giving programs established by the organization.Finance and Compliance—20%Serve as co-liaison, under the guidance of the Asst.
Director Development to Finance Department to ensure accuracy of gift/donation records and deposits.Assist in the processing and inputting of physical checks and other donation materials.Resolving returned items, research non-sufficient funds payments.Be a subject matter expert on all gift data entry processes.Direct Marketing—10%Help coordinate multi-channel direct marketing plan with the Assistant Direct Marketing.Assist with developing annual giving initiatives such as the monthly giving program, new donor onboarding initiative, ensuring that growth and revenue goals are met.RequirementsBachelor Degree, in Marketing IT, or Business (or equivalent education and experience).1-2 years of fundraising or non-profit related experience.Donor database experience required; Raiser's Edge experience preferred.Excellent organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where hard work, a sense of humor, and flexibility are highly valued.Previous moves strategy and donor database experience.
