You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Centers (FLCs) Contracting Departments of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF.
In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Knowledge of various contracting methods and contract types to plan and execute short and long-term pre-award and/or post-award procurement actions; (2) Knowledge and skill necessary to negotiate very complex contracts and to develop unique contract types required to accommodate changing business climates, new technology, dynamic market conditions, and economic uncertainties; (3) Knowledge of procurement statutes, executive orders, agency and Federal regulations inclusive of those delineating (a) required sources and (b) simplified acquisition procedures; (4) Knowledge of the principles of acquisition planning and contract administration; and (5) Knowledge of Government contract termination concepts, procedures and precents to execute settlement agreements related to terminations or claims.
