ResponsibilitiesPeraton is currently searching for a talented, experienced Army Contingency Planner to join Peraton's Southern European Task Force - Africa (SETAF-AF) Strategic Mission Support (SMS) team.Location: Vicenza, Italy.
In this role, you will: Develop and manage plans, lead planning teams, coach and mentor staff, provide analytical and administrative support across ten functional areas in G5, manage information, maintain running estimates, conduct research and analysis, develop information requirements, advise the commander, provide recommendations, perform risk management services, and synchronize staff planning efforts.
You will serve as a plans and action officer at an operational level headquarters, ensuring that USEUCOM, AFRICOM, and SETAF-AF campaign plans are supported by functional and contingency plans.
You will write and review functional and contingency plans, lead Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) or Joint Planning Teams (JPTs) using the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) or Joint Planning Process (JPP), and mentor junior planners.
Your role includes analyzing the impacts of national strategies, participating in strategic evaluations, maintaining SETAF-AF supporting plans, and assisting in the transition from planning to execution during crises.
Additionally, you will update senior leadership on planning issues, prepare briefings, and participate in regional security cooperation planning meetings.
#SETAFQualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Graduate of Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Intermediate Level Education (ILE).20 years of experience in US Army, including at least 14 years as a Commissioned Officer.Expertise in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), and Joint Planning Process (JPP).
Possess executive-level briefing skills.
Current active TS/SCI security clearance.Desired: Experience working at U.S. military Joint or Component level Commands.Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
