The M&A Team in Italy is growing and looking for a motivated, junior Consultant to join them!
The M&A team is currently going through a period of significant growth in the market whilst also servicing an existing large base of clients. Consultants in the M&A team work on a wide range of interesting projects including ESG management consultancy, advisory and due diligence covering decarbonisation, EHS, climate risk, and social/human rights aspects.
To support the successful delivery of our growth ambition, the team is looking to appoint a motivated, detail-oriented entry-level Environmental Engineer/Environmental Specialist who will support with the delivery of EHS and ESG audits to a range of clients from the financial services (including private equity) and the corporate sector (manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, etc.) and with a passion for sustainability.
Our office is in Milan, and we offer flexible working arrangements. The role will require frequent travel (mostly within the country) to the work site.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct environmental, health and safety (EHS) audits to support mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance audits, and supply chain audit programs. Perform audits on environmental, social, governance (ESG) issues to help companies identify reputational risks and opportunities for sustainable development. Support project managers in requested activities such as research for information, writing reports, proposal preparation, etc. Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including proposals. About You: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience across EHS (HSE) and interest in developing experience in sustainability disciplines (ESG) as a consultant. A master's degree in environmental engineering, environmental management, or other relevant disciplines. A specialization in energy or civil engineering or experience in the sustainability/carbon sector would be considered a plus. Working knowledge of English (C1) is required; knowledge of other languages will be considered a plus (preferred French and/or Spanish). Good knowledge of Italian Environmental and EHS legislation. Knowledge of international EHS standards will be considered an advantage. Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently.
