Construction Project Manager We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Global Design & Construction team. As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects, ensuring adherence to our Growth Framework and Project Delivery Model (PDM). Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the entire project lifecycle, from inception to transition, while ensuring the highest industry standards of quality and safety. Core Responsibilities: Project Delivery Model (PDM): Implement and adhere to our standardized PDM, which serves as the foundation for project delivery. Familiarize yourself with the four key stages of the PDM: Inception, Construction, Testing & Acceptance, and Transition. Stakeholder Management: Gain stakeholder alignment and approval at the beginning of the project cycle. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including Equinix sales teams, customers, vendors, general contractors (GCs), and subcontractors. Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, developing clear strategies for risk mitigation. Proactively address challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle. Supply Chain Management: Understand the entire supply chain for your project, including vendors, GCs, and subcontractors. Foster strong relationships and act as a liaison between project teams and the supply chain. Budget and Cost Management: Be intimately familiar with the project's cost report and actively participate in its development and management throughout the project. Design and Pre-construction: Collaborate with design teams and actively participate in the design and pre-construction phases. Ensure timely issuance of design and commercial deliverables. Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning process, working closely with various stakeholders to establish credibility and ensure successful project outcomes. EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety): Embrace and promote a strong commitment to EHS processes and standards. Monitor and ensure the closure of EHS issues throughout the project lifecycle. Project Management: Lead and manage multiple large capital projects, including ground-up construction, remodels, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades. Ensure projects meet or exceed company expectations. Vendor Relations: Direct and manage external vendors, including General Contractors, A&E design teams, commissioning agents, and equipment suppliers. Establish and maintain high-value relationships with vendors. Contract Administration: Develop and execute effective contract administration procedures, including the generation, review, and monitoring of prime contracts, subcontracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other relevant documents. Leadership and Management: Demonstrate transformational leadership behaviors, including agility, business savvy, collaboration, decisiveness, and inclusivity. Foster a culture of excellence, continuous growth, and innovation within the project team. What we look for: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction, construction project management, and/or services engineering or equivalent experience. Proven experience in project and construction management that includes critical infrastructure for Datacentre, Pharmaceutical, Bio-tech, Petrochemical, or similar environments. Ability and willingness to travel. Customer-focused, self-motivated, and flexible. In-depth knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and industry best practices. Experience in construction procurement methodologies. Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project and Excel. English is a must; another language would be a plus.
