Construction Project Manager

We are currently seeking a number of Project Managers for various locations across Africa. The schemes are at proposal stage at present with expected award and commencement to be towards the end of 2024.

Project scope of works consist of existing building refurbishment, new-build extension and external works. Candidates should have experience project managing similar building schemes covering the typical core construction disciplines of civils, mechanical, electrical, structural and finishing elements.

Positions would preferably be offered on an employed basis.

Responsibilities include:
• The Project Manager will be a direct point of contact between the client and the company.
• Ability to lead a project from concept stage to completion
• Provide strong leadership skills and communicate effectively with the management team
• Liaising with clients
• Management of Subcontractors
• Ensure that projects are running on time and on budget
• Providing weekly reports to the Project Director
• Assess all project risks
• Monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
• Liaise with QHSE Manager to ensure that all Safety Management Systems are in place and in operation
• Management of internal/external design team/consultants to meet project deadlines
• Deal with all resource planning and oversee programme changes
• Tender report / analysis / recommendations
• Develop project scope with design team / client
• Produce budgets and reports for clients on monthly cycle
• Chair monthly meeting assigning tasks and monitoring outputs.
• Management of internal/external design team/consultants to meet project deadlines
