As an international technology group, VTU Engineering opens the door for you to the next step of your career!Where we need your helpOrganize and coordinate all activities on large construction sites, across all trades up to the acceptance of all packages, in close collaboration with the Disciplines Leads.Through close and regular coordination with the contractors, ensure that all the works are carried out unhindered and reduce potentially dangerous situations.Monitor the execution and assembly, follow the progress of the works and check the quality of the execution.Take responsibility for the entire construction site, in particular for the overall commitment to site safety, project budget and execution schedule.Ahead of projects, prepare costs estimates, execution schedules, sites facilities assembly and disassembly plans, preconstruction reviews…During execution, carry out daily construction site meetings to react appropriately to changing circumstances.Be a strong leader that represents VTU on the site, who motivates and supports all the Construction Team's members and can interface with the customer to discuss site issues and take proper measures.What you bring alongEducation:Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering Degree (Master/Bachelor Degree) or Diploma (with min. 25 years of work experience at least, 15 in the role).General knowledge of HSE rules.Technical Competences:Have strong PC competency (Microsoft Office, CAD, working with PDF files, Document management systems).Understand the requirements of QAQC handover.Have a strong attention to details.Social Competences:Self-confident, good negotiator and able to assess conflicts in a proper manner, serving as a role model for the consideration of environmental, health and safety aspects, be a team player, adaptable and practical.Assuring the team work approach with a special focus on challenges due to engineering decentralized teams.Maintaining the team spirit and motivate people especially in difficult project phases.Prerequisites:Preferred at least 10 years of experience in Chemical and/or Pharmaceutical construction sites, Fluent in Italian and English.Be success driven and be willing to learn and in doing as well to support others in the team.Main responsibilities:Leading and supporting Construction supervisors in daily activities Interface with Engineering department for issue resolution.Checking the working methods of all companies present on the construction site and ensuring compliance with general and project specific operating / working procedures and compliance with the authority permits and execution documents like AFC drawings.Monitoring and reporting contractors performance and progress incl. subcontractor working capacities.Organizing construction companies works minimizing the interference of activities Proposing measures to resolve discrepancy, deviations and delays concerning the work.Keeping record of all relevant construction site activities as outlined in various project documents (e.g. construction management plan, client contract, etc.).Taking part in workshops, review meetings and regular project / team meetings as required.Report to Project Manager.Our offerWe offer varying and challenging tasks in a dedicated team with an excellent working environment.
