POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Configuration Manager to join our team working on the Galileo project. The Configuration Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the configuration management processes for the Galileo Ground Segments, ensuring the integrity and consistency of system configurations throughout the project lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures for the Galileo Ground Segments. Manage the configuration of system components and documentation, ensuring all changes are properly controlled and documented. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure configuration management processes are integrated into all stages of the project lifecycle. Conduct configuration audits to verify that configuration items are correctly documented and conform to established requirements. Oversee the Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, facilitating the evaluation, approval, and implementation of configuration changes. Monitor and report on the status of configuration management activities and deliverables. Provide configuration management support to the IVV (Integration, Verification, and Validation) team, ensuring seamless integration with verification activities. Investigate and resolve configuration-related issues and anomalies, collaborating with technical managers and engineers as needed. Train and support project teams on configuration management tools and best practices. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years' experience in configuration management, preferably within the aerospace or telecom industry. Strong understanding of configuration management principles, processes, and tools. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, SVN, ClearCase, etc.). Knowledge of IT/ground segment technologies, including relational databases, virtualization, networking, and software deployment tools. Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good command of the English language. LOCATION
Permanent full-time role based in Fucino Center (Italy), on-site Monday to Friday 9:00 to 18:00.
