For our site in Amendola/Italy (close to Foggia) we are looking for a

Computer System and Network Engineer (f/m/d) for our flight simulators

We are looking for an experienced Computer systems and network engineer to join our Simulator Technician team. In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous operation of a Simulator Training Systems and other mission support systems. You will handle the following components: Computing and Networking Systems. This position will perform ordinary / extraordinary maintenance and repair tasks to ensure contractual availability to the Customer.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare simulators for customer training (i.e. daily start-up and shut-down of training systems, daily morning readiness test).

Investigate, isolate and rectify Hardware reported problems.

Perform daily preventive maintenance.

Perform troubleshooting and maintenance work (repairs).

Daily administration and maintenance of computing systems and networks.

Keep Software updated according to Software configuration policy.

Contribute in troubleshooting Software snags.

Keep Software Back-up records as necessary.

Data logging of activities and relevant information (e.g. environmental data, training sessions,…).

Skill and Competence Requirements

High School/Bachelor in Informatics/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.

IT Background with good knowledge on system administration for Windows and Linux based Operative Systems both Client and Server.

Experience with Backup management/Disaster Recovery methodologies.

Experience on complex network distributed systems.

Good Knowledge on Windows network configuration and access management (Active Directory Domain Services).

Complex System Troubleshooting and bug-fixing capabilities.

Experience on software programming (C, C++) and scripting languages.

Experience on software configuration tools.

Good English spoken and written.

Aviation/aerospace enthusiasts particularly welcome.
