Offer DescriptionThe research project will investigate the use of innovative thermoplastic and/or thermosetting-based polymers, to be applied in 3D printing processes.
Physical and chemical properties of commercial polymers, in filament or pellet format, will be initially characterized by DSC and FTIR techniques.
The 3D printing process will be subsequently optimized by rheological characterization (viscometry) as a function of processing parameters (deposition speed, deposition temperature, and sample shape).
The employed materials and the deposition process will be validated mainly by mechanical properties characterization of the as-produced samples.
