**OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB** The Legal & Compliance Manager oversees the Compliance Program of the Daiichi Sankyo's Italian Affiliate, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns with the aforementioned organization including coordinating activities across Daiichi Sankyo Italy.
He / she provides ground for legal advice to ensure that all operations and business activities are carried out in a compliance manner in line with applicable laws and regulations.
He/she ensures that behavior in the organization meets the company's ethical standards of corporate conduct charter and values.
He / she also provides advisory services to the Commercial head and other senior management of Italian affiliate on legal and related matters.
This function reports directly to the Head of Compliance Europe and will be part of relevant internal and external meetings.
**Role and Responsibilities**: Provide to implement and develop all corporate compliance processes on a local level and he/she provide support to top management as a strategic business partner.
Ensure the adequacy updating business models in line with business changes and current regulations, identifying eventual risk areas and implementing consistent action plans Supervision of the relevant procedures updating by the specific persons in charge of it Monitor and manage compliance pertinence of documents, codes of practice, instructions for the sales force as well as marketing dept Support in the management and implementation of procedures and systems relating to Transfer of Value (ToV), including oversight of data collection and reporting.
Liaise closely with DSE responsible person for ToV.
Work closely with European Legal and Compliance to ensure implementation and adherence to EU and Global legal and compliance/ethics initiatives at the local level Supervise the correct execution of the internal procedures/regulations, providing advice on their implementation and ensuring that relevant audits are effectively accomplished Drive education and awareness on compliance and concerned legal matters across the organization, including content and execution of Training Programs for company's employees as well as the Communication Programme to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct in close coordination with the Human Resources Department and others.
Manage the relationship to the parties responsible for internal and/or external control, as the reports management and internal audits Prepare a plan and execute Compliance Monitoring activities pre-approved by the direct superior and the Senior Management of the organization.
He/she manages responsibilities/accountabilities and propose corrective actions where necessary.
Conduct periodical internal audit (self-inspections) to verify the compliance of all departments to the organizational model and Farmindustria standard requirements, as well as organize supplier audits within GDP/Quality standards File and manage documents, ensuring their timely and proper internal distribution Provide consultancy and assistance to colleagues in fulfilling legal and procedural requirement issues Define standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the area of expertise and make sure that they are timely implemented, followed and updated when appropriate.
**People Management**: Manage the local Legal and Compliance Department and coordination of the Compliance Legal Officer Compliance with the rules and procedures in force within the company: annual reviews, setting of objectives, evolution and development of skills, etc.
Prioritization of activities Responsible for budgets management under his/her responsibility
**Skills and additional Requirements**:Strong personal integrity and ethics Passion for innovation and compliance Drive and motivation for self-development and learning, and to share knowledge and experience across the company Significant experience and knowledge in Pharma Legal and Compliance area (at least 7/10 years) Result orientation Effective collaboration and communication skills within a growing dynamic and matrix focused organization Advance English language knowledge The position is office based is Rome/Milan Direct or indirect management experience beneficial but not necessary Oncology experience beneficial but not necessary
