The team you will be a part of The Legal General team performs a variety of legal activities in accordance with the established standards of the legal profession to protect the organization's reputation and business interests and help ensure it complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Prepares legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters (e.g., loans, leases, purchase agreements, acquisitions, divestitures, employment contracts). Represents the organization in legal proceedings before courts, government agencies, or other authorities. This role in summary The role ensures the development, implementation, and oversight of regional compliance programs in alignment with corporate standards, reporting to the Beko Europe General Counsel and collaborating with the Global Compliance team. Key priorities include maintaining the Code of Conduct, mitigating compliance risks through analysis and strategies, ensuring adherence to legal and internal policies, conducting compliance training, and supporting ethical governance processes. Deliverables include updated policies, compliance risk assessments, training initiatives, and reporting frameworks, with expected outcomes of robust compliance systems, reduced legal risks, and a strengthened ethical culture across the region. Your responsibilities will include Reports to the Beko Europe General Counsel Collaborates with and supports Global Compliance team on issues related to the region Collaborates with business units to ensure the alignment of company practices with Code of Conduct and related Policies, legal regulations, and other internal policies Ensures the Code of Conduct and related Policies are up to date and proactively contributes to the continuous improvement of compliance programs in all subsidiaries, coordinating with the local Legal officers at Regional level and Global Compliance team, where necessary Supports the special compliance related needs of subsidiaries in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Related Policies Reviews several contracts and advises business units with respect to compliance requirements Drives and coordinates systematic compliance risk analyses, identifying, evaluating, and monitoring compliance risks of the company including its third parties (KYCs, compliance questionnaires and sanction controls) Develops and leads implementation of compliance risk mitigation strategies, tracking improvement processes and providing essential support Ensures the existence of an adequate compliance training program throughout the Company Helps monitoring the company's compliance reporting and documentation system regionally Monitors well working of the sanctions program Support the reporting of compliance matters to the Ethics Committee and the Board of Directors Reviews and investigates reports received through Ethics Hotline channels and provides support in carrying out the process of the Ethics Committee when necessary Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field Proficiency in English is required; fluency in another European language (e.g. Italian, German, French, or Spanish) is a plus Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal compliance, internal audit, ethics and other regulatory roles, including exposure to European regulatory frameworks related to consumer goods, whistleblowing directive and sanctions; with at least one year of managerial experience in compliance Preferred skills and experiences Master's degree in Compliance, International Law, or a related discipline is a plus Recognized compliance certifications (e.g., CCEP-I, CRISC, ICA or similar) are advantageous Familiarity with compliance management software or tools such as sanctions scanning and whistleblowing tools OneTrust Ability performing trainings in ethics and compliance as well as experience in awareness building What we offer Full-time job contract An international working environment in a dynamic company Many opportunities to learn and develop We are an equal opportunity employer.
