For a multinational company in the pharmaceutical field, we are looking for a Company Accountant.
As a Company Accountant, you will be accountable for delivering accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to financial close and periodic external reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
This individual will support all accounting processes through effective, efficient, and regulatory (SOX) compliant finance processes, in accordance with US GAAP / Local GAAP (IFRS).
As a Company Accountant, you will: Be responsible for the preparation and submission of all statutory books in compliance with local requirements; Collaborate with external consultants to ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and fiscal requirements; Manage statutory compliance and external financial audits; Manage statutory financial accounting and financial close related activities (both specific to year-end as well as ongoing activities); Ensure the integrity of internal financial controls.
In this role, you will also: Oversee the preparation of all statutory books in compliance with local statutory requirements for assigned entities, check that all entries, analyze all accounts, and prepare monthly and year-end entries for statutory requirements and prepare fiscal reconciliation between local and US GAAP; Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and fiscal requirements by working with the VAT Department and collaborating with external consultants, ensuring that all documents are available for possible tax inspection; Support internal and external audits by representing the local entities at audit meetings and in dealing with any ad-hoc requests that may be required, ensuring efficiency and timeliness in the provision of any information to the outsourcing company, if relevant; Ensure liaison with local management by reviewing market issues arising which may have an impact on the financials and conducting regular meetings in the country with local management.
