- **eliminate the need for geological repositories by using a fast neutron flux avoiding the production of long life radioactive elements;**

- **accelerate the development of new fuel cycles, including MOX (Mixed Pu-U Oxides) and eventually thorium, that provide clean, safe and inexhaustible energy from nuclei and the opportunity to burn the long-lived nuclear waste produced by the old generation of nuclear reactors;**

- **ultimately develop an Accelerator Driven System (ADS), based on the intrinsically safe coupling of a particle accelerator and a sub-critical reactor.

**With visionary co-founders, **_new_**cleo brings together an international team of senior engineers with deep knowledge of nuclear energy and new recruits with a fresh mindset, working to develop designs based on innovative Lead-cooled Fast Reactors (LFRs).
These LFRs will meet the commercial demand for small terrestrial waste-to-energy reactors.

**In the UK, **_new_**cleo's immediate focus is on delivering a prototype 30MWe LFR by 2030 followed by an initial battery of 4-6 x 200MWe reactors with deployment in the early 2030s.
We are building our team to meet this challenging and exciting objective.

**Job Description**:
This is a role within the newcleo's Communications team, reporting to the Head of Communications and based in Turin.
The role holder will work closely with the Scientific Communications Manager and the Assistant Graphic and Web Designer, who are based in Turin, as well as with the Chief Communications Officer, who is based in London and any other team members that may join over time.
S(He) will be responsible for performing administrative and logistic tasks in support of the Communications team and will be required to get a full and rounded understanding of the organisation.
This will be a fast-paced, engaging and rewarding role, giving great exposure to all facets of a communications team and career track.
Main Activities
- Supporting and coordinating team reporting materials for the business
- Assisting with organisation of internal events
- Assisting with organisation of business-related events and supporting executive assistants on coordination of our attendance at the events
- Managing a Communications team calendar, including internal events, business-related events, global awareness days, geopolitical agenda, and more
- Assisting with our editorial calendar
- Mantaining our shared Communications folder for storage, retrieval, and archiving of communications materials
- Supporting on the creation and sharing of content on our internal and external platforms, including our company intranet, our social media pages, our website, our newsletter
- Assisting with and coordinating internal communications from different business functions
- Assiting with logistics during video and photo shoots
- Assisting with management of and liaising with external providers
- Coordinating team diaries for internal meetings
- Supporting with team tasks and administration including project management, attending meetings and taking notes
- Researching and providing evidence-based recommendations for the Communications team.
**Desired Qualifications**
- Degree level educational background - A bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, communication, or a related field would be particularly beneficial
- Fluent Italian and English, additional languages desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
- Ability to repurpose content for multiple platforms
- Good awareness of and strong interest in modern communications styles and channels
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Flexibility, high level of integrity, trust and transparency
- Team work orientation
- Detail-oriented, hands on and able to take initiative when required
- Ability to organise and prioritise
