DRI is now seeking a talented and dynamic Communications & Public Affairs Specialist to join our team in Italy.
The role will focus on developing and implementing strategic communication and public affairs initiatives to enhance DRI's brand presence, engage stakeholders, and drive positive outcomes for the organisation in Italy.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast paced scale-up driving the energy transition in Europe.
What you will do: You will drive DRI's communications and public affairs strategy in Italy working closely with DRI's central communications team in Amsterdam.
Create compelling content for Italian audiences, such as press releases, presentations, email invitations, and other communication materials.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, industry partners, government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders in-country.
Monitor and analyse media coverage, public opinion, and policy developments to identify opportunities and risks, and develop appropriate response strategies.
Lead advocacy efforts on key policy issues impacting the renewable energy sector, including legislative and regulatory matters in Italy Identify and attend key sector events in the country and provide organisational support where needed on own DRI events.
Support internal communication efforts to ensure alignment and transparency across the organisation.
What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, International Relations, or related field.
Proven experience in communications, public affairs, government relations, or related roles, preferably within the renewable energy or sustainability sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including media, government officials, community leaders, and industry partners.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Knowledge of policy and regulatory issues related to the renewable energy sector is desirable.
Fluency in English (additional languages considered an asset).
