Activity related to uW Instruments (P/L) and Comm.
S/S (e.g.
Radiometers, P/L data Handling and Transmission systems, Communication systems, radar related systems).Definition, implementation and maintenance of models and software tools for simulating the P/L or S/S functionalities and main performances.Definition, implementation and maintenance of RF budgets.Definition of related command and control interface.Definition, implementation and maintenance of related Link Budgets as applicable.Contribution to definition of Payloads or S/S architecture.Definition, implementation and maintenance of related I/F and budgets (Data Handling, Electrical, RF).Support to relevant equipment and sub-assembly, internal and external supplier technical monitoring and relevant review attendance.In the frame of the verification and validation phases of the programme, assessing/evaluating P/L or S/S functionalities and performance on the basis of test results.To support as System and Verification engineer the relevant AIT campaign as applicable.Participation to meetings/reviews with both internal and external customersPreparation of documents and presentations.Contribution to programme reports and minutes of meetingsPart of the activity is conducted under Italian Defense National Authority Rules.
The candidate shall be eligible for the relevant security authorization/clearanceRequired Background:Master's degree in Electronic/Telecommunication EngineeringBackground in the field of communication systems, with focus on space applicationsKnowledge of digital and RF electronic for data handling, processing and wide band communication, TT&C.Knowledge of the main on-board data interfaceBUS: MIL 1553 B, CANSpaceWire, High Speed Serial Link (WizardLink)Knowledge of radio communication and related protocolsInformation theoryadvanced coding and modulation (e.g.
