You will execute communications activities including publishing, measurement coordination and other operational activities across internal and/or external channels.
**How you will contribute**
In this role, you will execute media relations, government affairs, internal communications and community engagement activities across markets. You will monitor and measure communication channels and/or advocacy activity, including but not limited to traditional media, social media, media hotlines, lobbying audit and more. In addition, you will support operational activities to deliver key internal and external communication priorities, including content development and event planning execution, collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, and ensure activities are delivered within budget.

Acting as Communication Specialist will give you the opportunity to follow your own development path supporting the Italian business managing relationships with different levels of the organization.You will be given exposure to the business locally at an international level becoming the point of reference for the Italian population.
**Purpose of Position**:
Implement the yearly communication plan according to the business priorities and the global/Meu initiatives.
**_ External Communications_**
Provide external communications support for Italy. Deliver an external reputation building program in Italy, support the Head of Communication and Government affairs in press office activities, and act as company spokesperson where required. In addition, the role will own, maintain and further develop the media monitoring and the Italy Mynewsdesk pages, to accommodate the needs of the Italy media environment.
**_ Internal Communications_**
This role will be accountable for the day-to-day delivery of the internal communications agenda for Italy, working alongside the Head of Communication and Government affairs Italy. They will be responsible for generating content from Italy and leveraging this at a European level. The role will collaborate with local teams to identify great stories which celebrate success and help support recognition of colleagues in Italy and Europe. The role will support the digital channels (intranet, Vivaengage) and create communications materials for local leaders to ensure a vibrant communication program.

This role will support the wider Europe CGA team.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- External Communications_
- Deliver a reputation building program (public affairs and communications) for the Italian business, working in partnership with the Managing Directors and the leadership team where required.
- Support team in tracking/recording media coverage using Media Inquiry Tracking and managing the Italian media monitoring service.
- Support the business with local reputation issues - providing counsel and advice.
- Maintain and further develop the Italian MyNewsDesk pages.
- Support in press office activities, managing local media enquiries.
- Internal Communications_
- Content / story creation for Italy for use locally and in publication on Italian intranet
- Plasma Screens/newsletter in Italy
- Manage local leadership communications in Italy & Create content for Italian Townhalls
- Coordinating MEU/Local town halls & webcasts
- Support growth of community agenda by coordination of community events and community champion activities.
- Implement locally MEU/Global/Local Recognition Initiatives.
- Administration_
- Contribute to weekly/monthly reports on CGA activities for MEU.
- Support and create corporate presentation materials
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in communication/Marketing.
- Native or equivalent level in Italian language (written and spoken) is mandatory.
