ABB Motion is the lead Business for P&L hosting both business and IS functions that work with all of ABB's Divisions in the digitalization of business processes. Domain leadership encompasses working across IS services teams, business stakeholders and IS management to develop the capabilities in managing IS strategy, architecture, demand management, project portfolio management, project management (when needed), and service level management.
As the P&L Domain is managing global IS Services is integrated in both global and local architectures you will in this role be able to expose yourself to learn and grow through working with stakeholders across functions and business line in all regions.
This role reports to the Head of Business IS Domains, Motion Business Area.
The job is open to main Motion locations in European countries. This position reports toHead of Business IS Domains, Motion Business AreaYour responsibilitiesLead the development of capabilities and competences of the IS Domain and IS Services management to be fit for current/future business needs.Lead the domain governance liaising with P&L business & IS stakeholders IS service management processes through the whole application lifecycle.Through close collaboration with business application owners proactively align IS applications/platform roadmaps to business strategies.Lead cost management with IS Services Managers from plan, to review and adjustment of capacity for IS projects and application operations.Facilitate the cross functional engagement to review the right scoping and planning of projects, architecture and IS solutions to business needs.Assume active role in governance of business programs and projects that includes scope of P&L Domain, align expectations and steer projects.Keep the focus on people and domain capabilities development by proactively staying in tune with industry best practices and trends.Drive the adherence to Corporate IS Policies & Procedures, as well as to both internal regulations & external legislations applicable to the Domain.Your backgroundB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain management or related fields. More than 8 years of relevant experience preferably across various IS services management roles such as demand, business analysis, architecture, project management, service management and operations. Proven ability to communicate at senior/executive level and link functional requirements with the business strategic goals to effectively collaborate across the organization. Proven ability to manage virtual teams.Knowledge of supporting technologies, functional capabilities & industry best practices. Proven track record to guide a business solution architecture.Good experience of global project environment. Enthusiasm to continuously improve IS experience, and productivity for business users.Passion for new IS technologies and digital automation.Ability to help business managers to set and balance priorities by analyzing consequences of choices and creating business cases.Experience in leading change management to implement new processes. Deep analytical skills and the ability to see the connections between layers of business operations. Forward looking with a holistic approach.
