Who will you be working with? The Procurement team is an international team dedicated to deploying the company's purchasing strategies, engaging with suppliers and internal stakeholders, analyzing market trends and identifying and solving commodity-related issues.
How will you make a difference? As a Commodity Manager, reporting to the EMEA Regional Commodity Leader, you will be responsible for the Commodity strategy, deploying the guidelines in each Site, developing our Supplier base and driving suppliers performance review.
What will your typical day look like? COMMODITY MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLIER PANELEstablishes / declines strategy for assigned commodity, incl. Make or BuyDevelops technical and regional / supplier market intelligence for his/her commoditiesIs responsible for implementing the strategy through panel policy for assigned commodityBuilds / qualifies / develops / manages the regional supplier panel for assigned commodity, incl. rationalization of panelDefines and deploys supplier risk assessments & sole, single, dual sourcing plansDefines raw material strategySRMManages relationship with his/her regional suppliers, be the key point of contact for regional suppliersDrives and monitors the selection process of new suppliersBUDGET / FORECASTBuilds budget, forecast, STRAP for assigned commodityMonitors PPI savings on a monthly basis, drive action plansRFQ (off cycle and serial life)Manages RFQ, offer evaluation, negotiation & contracting: frame agreements, off cycle and serial life contractsOptimizes PO payment terms and implement supplier RPAPROJECT SOURCINGProvides supplier vendor list to project buyers before RFQIs responsible for Contracting for suppliers that are new for the siteContributes to final negotiations, ensuring leverage of scale effect across other ongoing projectsValidates supplier selection from project buyers, participate to Project Sourcing CommitteeOPERATIONALDrives sourcing competitiveness initiatives for existing / standard parts, e.g. technical savings with Engineering, RFQ benchmarkIs responsible for re-sourcing in serial lifeIs responsible for contract amendments and renegotiationsIntervenes in major supplier issues escalated (after threshold to site sourcing specialist): COPQ / claims negotiationsWhat do we want to know about you? At least 5 years experience in Purchasing in a globalized industrial environmentFluent in English (other language is a plus)Skilled multi-cultural negotiator with good written and oral communications skillsCurious and dynamic person, able to work across matrix worldwide organizationFrequent travel trips (~ 40-50%)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional SuiteLocation: various sites in EU (eg. France, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic). Please upload your CV in English.
