As a Commodity Buyer, you will take ownership for the sourcing and buying process.
You will provide support to cross-functional teams on a variety of projects.
Using your knowledge of the market and vendors, you will build trusted relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
As a Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing Purchase Orders to ensure that any problems are resolved and changes are updated on our systems
- Managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution to ensure we deliver an flawless service to our customers
- Contributing to project as a team member or leading small projects to ensure successful on-time delivery
- Integrating commodity strategies into the engineering and manufacturing objectives as support BH business market strategies;
- Supporting IET business needs and imperatives in terms of supplier cost competitiveness, capacity, lead time and drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management;
- Developing negotiations strategies and driving strategic negotiations to achieve goals and objectives;
- Driving/supporting Procurement and Biz initiatives including but not limited to: deflation, Proj.
Saving, Should Cost, Flex PS cash flow improvement, terms and conditions negotiation, capacity and cycle reduction, BCC penetration, Advance/Bundle buy, identify strategic FPQ, Ito and NPI.
- Being an integral member of the Procurement Team and interacting with Engineering, Manufacturing and product leadership team to implement and finalize initiatives;
- Leading data gathering and analysis process, liaising with BH Corporate and BH Infrastructure to align approach and co-ordinate negotiations;
- Interfacing with the business on issues of forecasting, planning, strategy alignment;
- Leading the OFF Line qualification, working closely with all other functions.
**Fuel your passion**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma /GED
- Have solid experience gained in Buying or Procurement (4 years at least) and Commodity Management (3 years)
- Be a good team player, enjoy collaborating and solving problems with others
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to explain complex technical information in both English and Italian
- Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
