Commissioning & Service Engineer Gas & Particles The Commissioning & Service Engineer performs simple installations, supports complex installations, commissions, maintains, calibrates, and repairs AVL gas & particles analytical systems at the customer site. He/She delivers professional and customer-oriented services according to defined processes and contributes to the continuous improvement of products and services by providing feedback.
Operational Tasks: Prepare/support the preparation of (own) activities. Perform, support, and check the system installation. Check the safety chains. Perform the system commissioning. Calibrate the measurement chains and check the overall system functionality. Perform corrective and preventive maintenance according to available guidelines. Carry out the documentation of the services performed by using defined templates and archiving in the proper server location. Perform the system backup and archiving in the proper server location. Handover system to the customer together with the project leader. Report quality issues for future improvements. Customer support. Service/analyze customer's requests and handle/solve them. Provide useful feedback on optimization potentials, customers, products, and services to management, support organization, product, and quality management. Qualification Requirements: Technical educational background in electrics or electronics or related discipline. Good manual skills for simple mechanical operations, simple wiring, and soldering. Be able to perform basic electrical measurements. 1 year of working experience is highly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills. Good organization, planning, and time management skills. Customer orientation and good communication skills. A good command of English (written and oral) skills is required. Proficiency with major computer systems (Word, Excel, Outlook).
