As a Commis de Partie, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting food according to the restaurant''s standards.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared and organized for service.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow all safety and food hygiene guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory control.
- Support other kitchen team members as needed during service, ensuring smooth operations.
- Learn and develop culinary skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.
- Participate in daily prep and service, ensuring food is prepared on time and according to specification.
- Help with the cleaning and closing down of the kitchen after service.
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently. - Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but not essential.
- A genuine passion for food and cooking.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
