OBJECTIVES/PURPOSENeomatrix is seeking a lab-based scientist to join a collaborative and dynamic team working on preclinical cancer research.
The successful candidate will contribute by developing well-defined mechanistic experiments, particularly in the area of cancer vaccines.
A strong foundation in immunology and/or cancer biology is essential, with proven skills in molecular biology and in vitro/ex vivo assays.
This role will support key pipeline programs focused on personalized vaccines and immune mechanisms.
The position is hands-on and requires the ability to independently design, develop, and execute research assignments while contributing to multiple projects.ACCOUNTABILITIESContribute to preclinical projects by developing and executing well-defined experiments.Independently design and perform functional assays to elucidate mechanisms of action, including but not limited to T cell immunophenotyping, T cell-dependent cytotoxicity, and cytokine release assays.Analyze, interpret, and present data, contributing to scientific discussions.Initiate new experimental approaches to specific challenges using scientific theory, data from internal/external collaborators, and technical literature.Prepare and present comprehensive technical reports and formal presentations/posters to a range of internal and external audiences.Conduct scientific presentations to internal teams.EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLSPhD in a relevant scientific discipline.Authorization to conduct animal experiments.Prior experience in biotech or industry is preferred.Hands-on experience in tissue processing, molecular biology techniques, ELISA, and other cell-based and non-cell-based biochemical assays.Experience with multi-color flow cytometry is strongly preferred.Familiarity with biologics (e.g., antibodies, ADCs, cell therapies) is desirable.Proficiency in data analysis software, such as GraphPad Prism, CytoFLEX platform, and FlowJo.Strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, biotech-like environment.ABOUT NEOMATRIXNeomatrix is a biotech start-up, backed by private investors, with strong ties to a British company.
