Overall Scope of Role: The Cluster Manager, In Venue Hospitality (IVH) Event Production is a key role responsible for providing operational support across multiple IVH programs occurring within various Olympic Sporting Venues during the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Cluster Manager works closely with:
The Director of Event Production.
The other cluster managers to share best practices and problem solve.
On Location internal Functional Areas (FAs).
MICO26 relevant interlocutors, particularly the Venue team.
The Cluster Manager will focus on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for On Location guests inside Olympic Sporting Venues within the assigned cluster.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Director, In Venue Hospitality to manage venue contracts.
Deliver consistent hospitality programs while building structure/organization within the team.
Update the Director of Event Production on day-to-day progress and challenges; request input and advice for key decisions.
Partner with the commercial product architecture team to define and/or adjust service levels and manage budget per Olympic venue.
Manage overall project milestones and timelines.
Manage P&L and track expenditures.
Oversee suppliers and vendors.
Encourage the use of sustainable products when available.
Attend all meetings related to the cluster and report on behalf of the Event Production team(s).
General Responsibilities: Main point of contact on-site, representing the Event Production Team.
Develop operational planning at the Competition Venues related to the On Location guest experience.
Facilitate and lead production meetings with key staff.
Forecast, qualify, and maintain budget.
Handle administrative duties including expense reports and file storage.
Other Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
Travel: Must be adaptable with work and travel schedule.
Available to travel (domestic) for work during holidays and key events.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Sports Management, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing events and/or brand activations.
Experience in managing and producing events in Stadium and Temporary Structure environments.
Fluent in business English; Italian is preferred but not mandatory.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly organized and process-oriented.
Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Flexibility and a positive attitude to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
