Role purpose: As an IT Cloud & Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of how data gets stored, consumed, and analysed. You will understand the business requirement and enhance the systems to provide the necessary data in the best way according to the IT strategy and the business needs. You will define & implement the best strategy for data transformation. You will excel in this role if you have a broad knowledge of ETL, reporting systems, Big Data Platforms, Cloud Services, a passion for data and you will leverage them to design and adapt the existing tools and processes.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership: Understand the data and transform them inside a multi-speed environment. Analyze requirements and come up with technical solutions to bring them to life. Design and develop extensions to the data platform working on the E2E data pipeline. Automate data manipulation and extraction through CI/CD Pipelines and CloudOps functionalities. Leverage your analytical skills to create new value out of our data. Required competencies, knowledge, and experience: Master's degree in computer science, engineering and/or other STEM degrees. Understanding of distributed compute frameworks such as Spark. Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop/Big Data, and data modelling concepts. Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and patterns. Understanding of CI/CD frameworks leveraging tools such as Jenkins and GitHub. Nice to have technical and professional qualifications: (Preferred) Knowledge of Cloud Data Architecture on GCP or other Cloud Providers for storage, compute (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
