Clinical Lab Services Associate (Maternity Cover) (REF_0224_BIO_LabServ) CONTEXTThe core activity of the Clinical Lab is providing Circulating Tumor Cells (CTC) enumeration for clinical trials sponsored by biopharma companies. As a Clinical Lab Service Associate, the person will mainly have to analyze blood samples collected from cancer patients all over Europe. He/she will report to the Clinical Lab Lead. He/she will be involved in internal and external audits of the lab as well, actively participating in the management of an ISO15189 Accredited lab also from an administrative perspective.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAccession the incoming samples, processing, analyzing, and reporting high complexity tests, including CTC, CEC, CMC, and CMMC.Manage blood testing in compliance with good clinical laboratory practices and Good Clinical Practice, proper documentation, ordering and inspections of reagents, and monthly review of laboratory equipment maintenance.Write and review SOPs, participating in process improvement projects, assay transfers, assay implementation, customer complaint and inquiry handling, and assay and instrument qualification procedures.BASIC REQUIREMENTSBackground in cellular biology and oncologyKnowledge of microscopy focusing on immunofluorescenceProficient with the Microsoft Office packagePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBS or higher education in Science, Medical Technology, or CytotechnologyAt least 1 year of experience with cell culture and immunofluorescence assaysLicensed as a professional Biologist or, at least, State Exam successfully passedGood knowledge of EnglishMenarini Silicon Biosystems S.p.A. is committed to equal opportunity in the terms and conditions of employment for job applicants without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or gender expression, national origin.#J-18808-Ljbffr
