Job Description - Claims Specialist Casualty (14003000R1D20240904) Claims Specialist Casualty As part of the Claims division of the branch, the key Claims function mission is to proactively manage claims from notification to settlement, providing high quality customer service and reaching an effective outcome, in the most cost effective and profitable way.
Within the Claims function, the Claims Specialist:
manages and resolves claims by driving files from opening to resolution and setting and implementing the case strategy under the Claims management direction and in accordance with the Company guidelines and procedures;reserves the exposure, appoints experts, monitors their mission and analyzes their findings;estimates the predicted final cost of claims, monitors the provisioning and settles indemnities within the authority limits;undertakes recovery actions when necessary and collects receivables;manages claims litigation strategies and/or alternative resolution techniques;analyzes potential fraud in respect of customer privacy, conducts investigation analysis and drafts mitigation plans;uses tools data for to extract relevant information, make decisions and provide business insights;contributes to the costs control and the performance of the technical results while developing and leveraging the quality of service in adherence to the Company culture and values;collaborates with Practice Leadership and the Underwriting team and drafts initiatives, including external marketing and business development activities to establish claims' value and service proposition;cooperates with multiple contributors in virtual or non-virtual environments and different locations to achieve collective goals;places the customer at the centre of all decisions and actions, understanding and anticipating needs and behaviours and formulating customized advices and solutions;acts as a brand ambassador.We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
expertise in local law, compliance and insurance regulatory system;knowledge of insurance and reinsurance concepts;knowledge and understanding of Casualty claims rules, processes and procedures (ability to handle other LoBs claims is a plus);ability to interact with multiple stakeholders;fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written);ability and willingness to work under pressure in a dynamic team.Location: IT-IT-Lombardy
