Position Sicim is currently looking for a Civil Structural Engineer for our Branch in Kazakhstan.
The person will be responsible for the following activities: Scope comprehension for all the civil structural works provided in the tender document.
Ability to develop all the drawings and design calculations related to civil and structural works and effectively resolving design issues.
Ability to review FEED packages and advise alternate optimized and cost-effective design solutions.
Engineering inter-disciplinary interactions to obtain absolute data inputs required for relevant civil structural detailed design.
Support and provide estimation and project team with all the technical advice/recommendations.
Early identification of specialized Sub-Contractor Services and preparation of specific Scope of Works for subcontract such as geotechnical investigation, etc.
Aggregation of relevant FEED bulletins and FEED evaluation report recommendations.
Effective utilization of engineering resources to produce high-quality deliverables within least possible man-hour consumption.
Review of quantities extracted from the drawings and advise for any optimization based on design recommendations.
Hand-on experience in civil structural software.
Document substantiation for HAZOP identified/recommended Civil Structural items during model review.
Code check for deliverables and review of drawings prepared by designers.
Requirements Minimum a B.E./B.
Tech.
in Civil Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant design and engineering experience in civil structural for the Oil Gas sector.
Proficient in interpretation of contracts and scope comprehension.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and should be fluent in English.
Previous work experience in CIS countries is desirable (not mandatory).
Good self-discipline and an ability to meet demanding schedule requirements whilst maintaining high-quality work.
Good attention to detail and accuracy in written work.
Good knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Windows Operating Systems.
