Wood is recruiting for a Civil Designer to join our Life Sciences division based in Milan, working on Pharmaceutical and Biotech projects across Europe and internationally.
The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role Our Civil Designers work in a project team and their scope of work is related to BIM design of industrial pharmaceutical buildings by using in particular 3D model tools (REVIT). They are focused on the definition of layout arrangements for architectural and process purposes and pharmaceutical/civil finishing but they work also on all other civil items part of an industrial building design.
You will have regular interaction with Civil Engineers and other Specialists part of the team to keep them informed of the progress of the project, ensuring that we are on track for work scope delivery and overcome any challenges.

Concept, Basic & Detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned projects BIM design and issues of documents / drawings related to layout arrangements (architectural layouts, door schedules, finishing schedules, sections, views, structural items, underground installations, etc.) Control and forecast of activities and deliverables against schedule Interface with external resources, other disciplines, departments, clients Work as part of a team by supporting each other, sharing workload and covering during periods of absence Contribute and participate to work in an enthusiastic manner, working to the requirements of quality and environmental management systems maintained to ISO standards Please see below the requirements that we typically seek for the position. Requirements: BIM specialist certification issued by an accredited body Previous experience in a Civil Designer role within engineering companies for the Life Sciences sectors Knowledge of REVIT software Competencies in sustainability design Ability to work across multi-discipline teams Fluent in spoken and written Italian and English is a mandatory requirement Eligible to work in Italy
